Agreement

These Terms govern your use of Buzzer. By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you do not, do not use the app.

On iPhone and iPad, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. On Android, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply.

What the app is

Buzzer is a party buzzer and quiz game for iPhone, iPad and Android. It has a big buzzer button with sounds, quick reflex games, a daily challenge and weekly leagues, quiz nights with a narrator, one-phone party modes, and rooms where everyone buzzes in from their own phone.

It is an independent app. Quiz questions may mention films, shows, brands, characters and famous people. They are used only as trivia, and the app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them. All names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Play safely

Some modes have you pass the phone around or tap fast. Keep an eye on your surroundings, hold the phone firmly, keep the volume at a comfortable level, and do not play while driving or anywhere it is unsafe to be distracted.

Accounts

You never need to sign in. The app gives you a random nickname and keeps an anonymous identifier in your device's keychain, so your progress and purchase stay linked to this device, including after a reinstall.

You can delete your progress from our servers at any time in Settings → Delete my data. Free plays and free tries that were already used are not reset.

Plus

Plus is an optional subscription. It unlocks unlimited plays, every game and party mode, every quiz category, every sound and skin, and hosting rooms for up to 16 players. Plans are weekly, monthly or yearly, and new subscribers may start with a free trial on some plans; the price and trial are shown before you confirm.

• Billing is handled by the store you bought from, not by us: Apple on iPhone and iPad (charged to your Apple ID), Google Play on Android (charged to your Google account). Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase
• Free trial: if a plan includes a free trial, you are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends
• Renewal is automatic unless you turn it off at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends
• Managing or cancelling is done in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) on iPhone and iPad, or in the Play Store (profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions) on Android. We cannot cancel it for you
• Restoring: if you reinstall the app or change devices, tap Restore purchases on the paywall or in Settings while signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account
• Refunds are the store's to give under its own terms: Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, Google Play at play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory

If your subscription ends, nothing is deleted. Your level, scores and unlocked rewards stay, and the free daily plays keep working.

Rooms and fair play

Rooms decide who buzzed first using the time each tap reached the app, adjusted for each phone's connection. It is designed to be fair, but network conditions can still affect very close results. The host's decision in a room is final.

Room names you type are shown to the other players in that room. Keep them friendly. The host can remove a player from a room.

Leaderboards and leagues are for honest play. We may remove scores, reset progress, or block access for anyone who cheats or tampers with the app.

Acceptable use

Do not:

• Try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the app or our servers
• Cheat, use bots, or tamper with scores, timings or limits
• Use offensive or abusive names in rooms
• Use the app to break the law, or to infringe anyone's rights
• Resell or redistribute the app's questions, sounds or other content

We may suspend access that does any of these.

Availability

We try to keep the app and its servers working, and we do not promise they always will. Games, questions, sounds and features may change, be added or be withdrawn. Online rooms need an internet connection; Nearby rooms work without one.

The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for any injury or damage that happens while playing.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these Terms. The date at the top says when they last changed. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
