How do you play?

Pass one phone around the table. Everyone sees the secret word except the imposter, who only sees the category. Take turns giving a one-word clue, talk it over, then vote. Catch the imposter and the crew wins; a caught imposter still gets one guess at the word to steal the win.

How many players?

From 3 to 20. Pass and play needs only one phone and works offline.

How do online rooms work?

One person taps Play online, then Host a room, and shares the 5-letter code. Everyone else taps Join with code. Friends without the app can join from a browser, and a laptop or TV can show the room to the table. You can play in the same room or apart on a video call.

What is free and what is Plus?

Classic, Twin Word and Question are free, offline, with no account and no ads. Without Plus you can host 2 online games in rooms of up to 8 players. Plus adds No Word, Spy, Hunt and Draw, every word category, unlimited custom decks, all-time scores, and online rooms for up to 20 players with no limit on games.

I paid but Plus is not unlocked.

Open Settings and tap “Restore purchases” while signed in with the Apple Account you bought with. If it still does not unlock, email us the date of the purchase.

How do I cancel, or get a refund?

Cancel in your iPhone Settings: tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

How do I delete my data?

Settings, then “Delete my data”, removes everything stored on your phone. “Delete my online data” in the Online tab erases what our server holds for you.
